Theory Research

Image result for level up

Before you start analysing your chosen music videos, I suggest (VERY STRONGLY) to do some research on theories related to both music videos themselves and representations within music videos.

Here is a list of theorists I would like you to look at. Choose a MINIMUM of 3!

Music Video Theories

  • Andrew Goodwin
  • Roland Bartes
  • Vladimir Propps

Representation Theorists

  • Laura Mulvey
  • John Berger

Here is a Slideshare presentation to help you; it includes many more theories you could research.
